Frequently Asked Questions

School Competition: Ages 6–17 (with parental/guardian consent).

Adult Competition: Ages 18 and up.

Singer-Songwriter Competition: Open to all ages (parental consent required for minors).

Employees or affiliates of the Organizer are not eligible.

Entry Fee: R50 (non-refundable).

Submissions must be made via the official app.

Submit original or cover performances (per category rules).

Content must be your own and free from third-party copyright claims.

 Rounds: Online Auditions → Public Voting → Live Sing-Offs (Top 5) → Finals.

Voting via dedicated SMS (SMS costs will apply).

Format and criteria may change at the Organizer’s discretion.

Cash for School and Adult Competition winners.

Additional prizes may include: studio time, promotional deals, or sponsorships.

Prizes are non-transferable and subject to taxes and costs by winners.

By entering, you grant Singsation SADEC the right to use your content for promotional and commercial purposes.

Winners may be asked to sign further agreements for recordings or appearances.

All participants must behave respectfully and professionally.

Harassment, hate speech, or cheating = immediate disqualification.

The Organizer has the right to disqualify participants at any time.

You may be disqualified for:

False info or misconduct.

Vote manipulation or fraud.

Breach of these Terms.

Singsation SADEC is not responsible for:

Technical issues or delays.

Lost entries or disruptions.

Any damage, loss, or injury from participation.

Your personal information is collected to manage the competition and will be protected in line with our [Privacy Policy]. 

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, and any disputes will be handled in its courts.
